EARTHGANG and Musiq Soulchild have joined forces for “AMEN,” the newest single from the Dreamville duo’s upcoming album GHETTO GODS.
Clocking in at just a little over three minutes, the track hears Olu, WowGr8 and Musiq Soulchild in both a lovesick and confident mindset, revealing their desires for their partners and their careers with shoutouts to Dreamville and J. Cole. “We spent so much time outside during the pandemic – Atlanta low-key never shut down,” the duo told Zane Lowe on Apple Music. “Every where we went we was having a good time and enjoy ourselves. So we want people to enjoy themselves when they heard this record. Never waste a moment to celebrate life. We was living it up the whole time.”
In January, the pair addressed the GHETTO GODS delay and revealed that the album didn’t drop because it wasn’t cleared on time. However, they told Apple Music that “This record can make you feel good as soon as you hear it. Every song snaps into place in some type of way.” They added,
“Essentially the concept is, there’s some god in all us, no matter what you believe it. You don’t have to be from a sepcfric hood or area – it’s really about finding it in yourself from a young age.
Clarity – it’s the most clear project I ever worked on bro — sometimes you just tap into a zone where everything looks as clear as it can be. I always keep a fans mentality… if you don’t keep the purity that comes with being a fan you’re not going to be able to produce it at the level you want to.”
