The anticipation for Matt Reeves‘ Robert Pattinson-starring The Batman continues to pick up steam as the film’s release date nears.
In a recent interview with Den of Geek, Pattinson appears to jump the gun on a potential The Batman sequel. While no announcement has been made just yet, the Caped Crusader revealed who he would like to see play opposite of him as the villain in The Batman sequel. Pattinson said, “I’d love to do something like Court of Owls.” Court of Owls is of course referring to the 2011 DC Comics horror story that follows a hidden society that has secretly ruled Gotham for centuries from an underground lair.
The storyline itself was originally developed by Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, who have both kicked off a new era for Batman. Pattinson continues, “There are elements of The Batman which are kind of horror and I think it really feels quite new for Batman.” Pattinson also mentioned the Calendar Ma, who is known to commit crimes that correspond with specific dates and holidays.
The Batman arrives in theaters on March 4.
In other entertainment news, Bridgerton season 2 receives first official teaser.
