Steven Harrington’s Latest Screenprint Reminds You to Hold On

As snow continues to touch down on the East Coast, Los Angeles is already in summertime mode with the sunny weather and a Super Bowl win for the Rams. To add to the mix, LA’s own Steven Harrington is back to release his first screenprint of 2022 — a vibrant 13-color artwork, titled Holding On.

Harrington’s alter ego, Mello, is found prominently throughout the piece hanging on to the artist’s signature palm trees. By showcasing a range of elements, from fire to flowers, Harrington reflects on the duality of emotions found in the present day — on end, there’s joy and celebration, on the other lies chaos and uncertainty surrounding everything from the pandemic to climate change.

Holding On is an edition of 150 signed and numbered by the artist. The oversized artwork is 32 inches wide x 32 inches tall and is printed on 320 gsm Coventry Rag paper with deckled edges. The art releases this Friday, February 18 at 9am at his online shop. To stay ahead of the pack, be sure to sign up for Harrington’s Early-Drop List.

Elsewhere in art, Library Street Collective will launch an ambitious public arts campus.
