New rumors suggest that Call of Duty: Warzone is finally getting a mobile version.
According to video game journalist and insider Tom Henderson, Activision is currently working on four new titles for the Call of Duty franchise, which includes Modern Warfare 2 (which has been confirmed by the developer itself), Warzone 2 (which has also seemingly been confirmed), a game for 2023 that’s yet to be named, and Warzone Mobile.
The move to go mobile for Warzone wouldn’t really come as a surprise, given that Activision had already launched a mobile version of the core Call of Duty experience back in 2019 with the help of Tencent and TiMi. Other massively popular battle royale games have also performed exceptionally well on the mobile platform, including PUBG and Fortnite, which both benefit heavily from the app stores’ microtransactions.
Of course, Activision itself has yet to announce anything for mobile right now, so fans of the franchise should definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.
The 4th Call of Duty title I’m referring to is Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
Not much is known, but it’s expected to release this year.
