With its release date just around the corner, Netflix has now released a full-length trailer setting up the show’s major conflict for Vikings: Valhalla.
Featured above, the new trailer follows legendary Viking explorer Leif Eriksson in the early 11th century as he confronts the imminent threat up North from the English royalty. Within the Vikings themselves, conflicts arise due to differences between Christian and pagan beliefs as well, and Eriksson will navigate his way through oceans and battlefields alongside his sister Freydis Eriksdotter and the Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson.
Eriksson will be played by Sam Corlett, with Frida Gustavsson as Eriksdotter and Leo Suter as Sigurdsson. Other cast members include Bradley Freegard, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, David Oakes, Laura Berlin and Caroline Henderson. Jeb Stuart will serve as both showrunner and executive producer with Morgan O’Sullivan, Michael Hirst, Sheila Hockin, Steve Stark, James Flynn, John Weber, Sherry Marsh and Alan Gasmer.
For those interested, Vikings: Valhalla will arrive on Netflix February 25.
Elsewhere in entertainment, Disney+ has greenlit a second season of Star Wars Andor.
