Kicking off the build-up for the release of his upcoming album, It’s Not Dry Yet, Pusha T has now released the first single off of the project, “Diet Coke.” Produced by Kanye West and 88-Keys, the track off of the rapper’s fourth studio album first surfaced in a snippet showing Pusha and Ye. Ye’s girlfriend Julia Fox then confirmed that two were recording a music video in an interview before it was played at an afterparty for NIGO’s Fall/Winter 2022 KENZO debut in Paris.
It is interesting to note, 88-Keys had first created the beat 18 years ago as an interlude for his beat tape, The Makings of Crack Cocaine. Now released assistance from Kanye West and Pusha T’s verses, the track starts with a sample of Fat Joe yelling “yesterday’s price is not today’s price.” Pusha delivers mature braggadocious lines with his usual allusions to drug dealing and references to his rough upbringing.

For more music news, Kanye West is reportedly making Donda 2 to be played at “births, graduations, weddings, and funerals.”
