HYPEBEAST has returned with another installment of Best New Tracks to round out the week.

Denzel Curry leads this week’s lineup with “Walkin,” the first single off his forthcoming album Melt My Eyez See Your Future, followed by an tape by L.A. skater Na-Kel Smith titled SKULLFACE BONEHEAD. Joining the mix is a Frank Ocean cover by Machine Gun Kelly, a cut from the Euphoria soundtrack from Tove Lo and a tribute to late rapper Young Dolph.

Denzel Curry – “Walkin”

Two weeks after announcing his new album, Melt My Eyez See Your Future, with a trailer reminiscent of a Hollywood Western, Denzel Curry has delivered the project’s first track and music video. Directed by Adrian Villagomez, the “Walkin” visual sees Curry traverse a barren landscape and culminates in an old-fashioned duel.

Na-Kel Smith – SKULLFACE BONEHEAD

Following 2021’s A DREAM NO LONGER DEFERRED, professional skater Na-Kel Smith has added on to his discography with the new album SKULLFACE BONEHEAD. In addition to rapping, Smith also self-produced and arranged under his alias racecar stuntman. Its leading song, “Prayer” features a slowed-down beat and lyricism inspired by Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead.”

Machine Gun Kelly – “Swim Good” (Frank Ocean Cover)

Machine Gun Kelly recorded an acoustic cover of a Frank Ocean classic. “Swim Good” originally appeared on Ocean’s breakthrough mixtape Nostalgia, Ultra (2011). Machine Gun Kelly reimagines the track, enlisting Slim XX, Baze XX and Omer Fedi for production.

Tove Lo – “How Long”

Swedish singer Tove Lo has succeeded Lana Del Rey as the latest artist to contribute original music to the Euphoria soundtrack. The synth-heavy “How Long” dropped only a few days before it will appear in the fourth episode of the show’s second season, airing on HBO Max this Sunday, January 30.

Announcing his new album MAHAL due out in April, Toro y Moi shared two singles from the forthcoming record, each with accompanying visuals. The video for “Postman” follows the artist as he rides around San Francisco in his Filipino jeepney with friends. Meanwhile on the B-side track, “Magazine,” Bay area native Salami Rose Joe Louis, supplies vocals set against the bass.

FKA twigs x Rema – “jealousy”

FKA twigs has been putting out a steady flow of music videos in the aftermath of her Caprisongs mixtape release. The latest visual highlights the singer’s impressive dancing abilities. “We got in, we finished it, and then we were like, ‘Oh, it could really have someone else in the second verse,’” Twigs said in an interview with Apple music’s Zane Lowe on how Rema was brought on as a collaborator.
