Twitter’s ‘Flock’ Feature Will Allow Users To Share Tweets With a Select Group of People

Twitter is working on a new feature called Flock that lets users select a specific group of people to share tweets with, Input reported. The feature was teased in July and at the time was referred to as Trusted Friends.

In that version, Flock appeared in a dropdown menu that gave users the option of choosing between the different audiences.

The updated tool was spotted via code in the Twitter app by mobile developer Alessandro Paluzzi. According to screenshots shared by Paluzzi, lists now have a limit of 150 people and users will be notified when they’re added to a list, as well as if they’re removed from a list.

The feature is comparable to Instagram’s Close Friends, which creates a subsection of followers who can view a user’s private story.

In recent months, Twitter has been developing new means of connecting users. The platform rolled out Communities in September, offering moderated groups for specific topics and interests.

In other tech news, the CEO of YouTube said that the company is exploring new NFT features.
