Thor Industries’ luxury caravan brand, Airstream, known for its rounded aluminum campers, has introduced a first-of-its-kind eStream electric trailer concept.
Exteriors resemble a sleek space pod with a rounded silver shell, black tinted windows, gradient front and rear lights, and light bars across the laterals while interiors display a modern aesthetic with staggered bedroom, kitchen, and living room areas equipped with a TV, microwave, and fridge. Solar panels on the roof allow the eStream hosts to operate off the grid for up to two weeks while enjoying the electric-powered amenities.
Performance-wise, the eStream is equipped with a built-in electric drivetrain that pushes itself forward while being towed and packs a total of 80 kilowatt-hours of energy in its batteries, producing 242 horsepower. Most impressively, mobile integration allows the trailer to be driven remotely through an app to aid with repositioning and parking.
In conjunction with the eStream, the Thor Vision Vehicle concept has also been introduced as a more traditional electric RV with a 300-mile range.
Exact specifications and release information have yet to be revealed. Take a look at the introductory video below and stay tuned for more updates.
