Cardi B has announced her inaugural initiative as Creative Director in Residence at Playboy: a new creator platform called CENTERFOLD, designed for “creative freedom, artistic expression and sex positivity.”
The 29-year-old rapper took to Instagram to share news of the platform, with a photo of her that details her role as both a a founding member and creative director. “My first project with @playboy !!! introducing CENTERFOLD, so excited to share this platform with so many amazing creators @playboycenterfold,” she captioned the image.
CENTERFOLD’s website is officially live, where a landing page featuring an image of the Bronx native poolside describes the platform as “the home for the world’s top creators to interact with their fans.”
As Creative Director in Residence at Playboy, a role which Cardi first announced earlier this month, the rapper is tasked with “helping craft sexual wellness products, digital editorial content, and exclusive merchandise aimed at expanding Playboy’s brand.”
“It is a dream come true to officially join the Playboy family. I can’t believe this is real,” she said in a statement. “For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt connected to Playboy. It’s truly the original platform for uncensored creativity and I’m inspired by its incredible legacy of fighting for personal freedoms. I have so many ideas already—I can’t wait!”
