Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling has been linked with a move away from the Premier League giants recently and it appears that the player wants to go out on loan when the transfer window reopens in January.
Apparently, Arsenal are the only club interested in signing the England international and a return to London would be a tempting proposition for Sterling.
There is no doubt that the 26-year-old is one of the best wingers in the Premier League but he has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester City this season. The former Liverpool winger has been quite inconsistent and he needs regular game time to recapture his sharpness and confidence.
Sterling has started just five games in the Premier League and twice in the Champions League for Manchester City so far.
A move away from Manchester City in January could be ideal for the player but it seems highly unlikely that the Premier League giants will agree to weaken their squad depth at this stage of the season.
Pep Guardiola will be hoping to win the Premier League title and the Champions League title this season and someone like Sterling could make a big difference for him in the big games.
As far as Arsenal are concerned, they could definitely use more quality and depth in the wide areas and Sterling would be an exceptional acquisition for them especially on a loan transfer.
The Manchester City star could transform the Gunners in the final third and help them launch a proper challenge for Champions League qualification this season.
Sterling would add pace, flair, goals and creativity to the Arsenal attack. He could form a lethal attacking partnership with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the second half of the season.
