As the week in music comes to a close, HYPEBEAST has rounded up the 10 best projects for the latest installment of Best New Tracks.

This week’s list is led by Freddie Gibbs and Jadakiss‘ reunion for “Black Illuminati,” Isaiah Rashad‘s deluxe edition of The House Is Burning, [homies begged] and Earl Sweatshirt‘s first single of the year, “2010.” Also joining this selection are offerings from the Icy Queen herself Saweetie, Joshua Crumbly, Ultra Q, Rico Nasty and Flo Milli, Masego and Devin Morrison, KAYTRANADA and Morray and Benny The Butcher.

Freddie Gibbs x Jadakiss – “Black Illuminati”

Freddie Gibbs and Jadakiss reunite for their brand new collab “Black Illuminati,” which is set to appear on the Gary, Indiana rapper’s forthcoming album, $$$. “Triple S, album of the f*cking year, man. That’s all I gotta say,” Gibbs previously told HYPEBEAST, also revealing that fans can expect contributions from the likes of Pusha T, Lil Baby, Rick Ross, Pharrell, the Neptunes, Puff Daddy, Hit-Boi and more.

Isaiah Rashad – The House Is Burning/Homies Begged

Isaiah Rashad celebrates the end of a successful 42-date tour with the deluxe edition of The House Is Burning. Entitled Homies Begged, the newest version features new tracks and “A FEW LOOSIES FOR THE PPL THAT SUPPORT ME THE MOST..” as he shared on Instagram.

Earl Sweatshirt – “2010”

Earl Sweatshirt throws it back a decade with “2010,” his first release of the year. While a followup to 2018’s Some Rap Songs is yet to be announced, collaborator and friend The Alchemist previously shared the new album is “incredible.” He added, “Earl is always working, he’s a master of his craft, so something gets cut all the time. When he decides to press the button, we’ll see. But he’s got loaded guns… Know that he’s hard at work and the magic is there.”

Saweetie – “Icy Chain”

As Saweetie preps for the release of her highly-anticipated debut album Pretty Bitch Music, she delivered the newest single “Icy Chain.” Clocking in at under two minutes, the cut is produced by Dr. Luke, Rocco Did It Again! and lil aaron and follows the rapper’s theme of being an Icy Girl. A release date for her album is yet to be announced.

Morray x Benny The Butcher – “Never Fail”

Fayetteville, North Carolina meets Buffalo, NY in Morray and Benny The Butcher’s collaborative new cut, “Never Fail.” Produced by Smatt Sertified, Akachi and Sonickaboom of 808 Mafia, the offering shines a light on Morray’s verbal dexterity and fast-paced melodic runs, and is a change of pace for the budding rapper. Fans should keep an eye out for a new full-length effort from the young talent as he is currently working on a followup to Street Sermons.

KAYTRANADA – Intimidated

KAYTRANADA enlists the help of H.E.R., Thundercat and Mach-Hommy for his latest three-track offering, Intimidated. The catchy nine-minute EP arrives in the midst of his Fall 2021 tour, which kicked off in September and is set to come to an end in December.

Rico Nasty x Flo Milli – “Money”

Rico Nasty and Flo Milli join forces for the Boys Noize-produced cut, “Money.” The powerful collab interpolates classic samples from 2 Live Crew’s “We Want Some Pussy” and Tone Loc’s “Wild Thing,” and drops just days after Rico Nasty’s ToyQube Collectable figurine, which was designed by Rhymezlikedimez.

Ultra Q – Get Yourself a Friend

New Gen: Fall 2021 honorees Ultra Q deliver their newest EP, Get Yourself a Friend, along with the announcement of a show at Shaky Knees 2022. Oakland’s Jakob Armstrong, brothers Enzo and Chris Malaspina and Kevin Judd drop a total of six tracks to round out an exciting year.

Joshua Crumbly – “Kolkata”

Joshua Crumbly shares an accompanying music video to his ForEver cut, “Kolkata.” Directed by Giraffe Studios, the track initially came to the bassist, producer and songwriting while he was visiting family in Kolkata, India. “I had a moment of stillness looking out the window taking in everything. It was such a beautiful moment that I can’t even quite explain but I’m so grateful to have experienced it,” Crumbly said. “The theme of this song came to me and I documented it right away as if it were a sonic journal entry.”

Masego x Devin Morrison – “Yamz”

Masego and Devin Morrison are soundtracking Thanksgiving with their latest single, “Yamz.” The silky R&B offering hears the pair touch on being family-centered men who are financially stable — not just for themselves but also for their partners and kids. “Lord I’ve seen what you’ve done for Mariah Carey with the month of the December. I ask that you give me November. Let Yamz reign for many years. Decades even. Amen,” Masego tweeted.
