Travis Scott and his team have shared a new statement addressing the families affected by the Astroworld Festival tragedy.
The rapper and his team shared their condolences and revealed that they are open to directly communicating with these families:
“Over the last week, Travis Scott and his team have been actively exploring routes of connection with each and every family affected by the tragedy through the appropriate liaisons. He is distraught by the situation and desperately wishes to share his condolences and provide aid to them as soon as possible, but wants to remain respectful of each family’s wishes on how they’d best like to be connected.

Scott himself addressed the tragedy last week, sending prayers to to the families and all those impacted and confirming that he is cooperating with authorities. Nine people died during the first night of Astroworld due to a crowd surge and was cancelled after.
In related news, at least 30 lawsuits have been filed against Scott, the organizers, Drake and more following the festival.
