Pioneer DJ has introduced its all-new XDJ-RX3 DJ system. The refreshed all-in-one XDJ model builds on the previous RX2 model to deliver new and enhanced features brought over from Pioneer’s club-standard CDJ’s, offering an ideal setup for home use, mobile performances, or small venues/bars.
The XDJ-RX3 notably features improved Color On Jog Wheels in which the weight can now be adjusted via a Feeling Adjust control. Track information is displayed on the LCD screen in the center of each wheel, and the RX3 wheels are tuned to be more responsive than previous models. The system’s new high-resolution 10.1-inch touch-screen is the largest screen ever from Pioneer DJ for an all-in-one system and inherits CDJ-3000’s intuitive playlist navigation while adding a new Playlist Bank which allows artists to rapidly access their desired folder with a single touch. Users can also now use Touch Preview to listen to any part of a track without loading it into the deck.
A 3Band Waveform feature provides artists with a clear visual of different volume levels and frequencies of each track, and an updated audio design eliminates unwanted external noise to produce a powerful and clear performance-ready sound. Artists can switch between viewing the pad status or Beat FX and X-pad with a single tap, and 14 Beat FX and 6 Sound Color FX come standard to choose from. The mixer is compatible with both rekordbox and Serato Dj Pro software, and while the DJ System can function simply with a USB plugin, a laptop can also be connected to unlock rekordbox Performance mode.
The XDJ-RX3 is priced at $1999 USD and will arrive at Pioneer DJ’s official retailers in early December.
