Liverpool have been linked with a move for the West Ham United winger Jarrod Bowen.
According to a report from the Mirror, the Reds are keen on signing the 24-year-old but they are unlikely to make a move during the January transfer window.
The winger was linked with a move to Anfield during the summer transfer window as well and Jurgen Klopp has recently admitted his admiration for the former Hull City winger.
The German recently said: “I like Bowen a lot. He made his way up from Hull and took not too long to show exactly what kind of player he can be in the Premier League. He made big steps.”
Bowen has certainly developed into one of the most efficient attackers in the Premier League since his move from Hull and he put on a splendid performance against Liverpool on Sunday.
The West Ham winger registered two assists in the 3-2 win over Liverpool and he has now contributed to eight goals in the Premier League this season.
There is no doubt that the winger has the potential to play for a top club in future and Liverpool could prove to be a quality option for him. Working with a world-class manager like Klopp could help the player improve further and fulfil his potential.
The Reds definitely need to add more quality and depth to their front three and the arrival of Bowen will ease the pressure on the likes of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.
The West Ham winger could have a similar impact to that of Diogo Jota if he moves to Anfield in the coming months.
That said, Bowen is a key player for West Ham and the Londoners are likely to demand a premium for their services. It will be interesting to see if the Reds are willing to fork out a sizable amount of money for his signature in the near future.
