‘Pokémon TCG Live’ Has Delayed Its Launch Date

‘Pokémon TCG Live’ Has Delayed Its Launch Date

The Pokémon Company has now delayed the launch of its upcoming Pokémon TCG Live.

Created to replace the current Pokémon TCG Online, the new game was supposed to be released sometime this year, but the company has now announced over on Twitter that it’ll be delayed to 2022. “To provide Trainers with a more polished experience, the Pokémon TCG Live mobile soft launch in Canada, and global open beta for desktop, have been shifted to 2022,” the statement reads.

It added that while the service isn’t online yet, those who have previously received promotional cards will still be able to redeem them. “Some of you may have recently received code cards with Pokémon TCG Live branding as part of some Pokémon TCG products,” the announcement continued. “Though Pokémon TCG Live is not available at this time, please know these cards are still redeemable in Pokémon TCG Online.”

There’s currently no concrete release date for the game, so Pokémon TCG should stay tuned for more updates to come.

Elsewhere in gaming, Square Enix has also delayed the launch for Final Fantasy XIV‘s upcoming Endwalker expansion.
