Tesla Will Soon Save Your Driver Profile on the Cloud

Tesla Will Soon Save Your Driver Profile on the Cloud

Tesla is finally preparing to launch its Cloud service for driver profiles.

According to Tesla Software Updates, a new “Cloud Profiles” feature has been included in the automaker’s latest version 2021.40 update for its vehicles and allows drivers to “Enable Vehicle Sync” for their own individual profiles. Just like other Cloud platforms, the program will allow you to save and upload your preferred driver settings onto the Internet and then sync those to any other Tesla cars you own or might drive in the future through the Tesla app. You’ll be able to save your preferences ranging from the car’s stop mode, the display’s brightness and interior temperature to what distance units to use or whether you want auto high beams.

While the feature itself isn’t quite ready just yet, the inclusion of this early form in the latest update wouldn’t come as a surprise to Tesla owners as CEO Elon Musk has long teased its arrival. As the website points out, Cloud Profiles will be especially convenient when it comes to rental cars, which often require personal adjustments once you get in. Just a week ago, car rental service Hertz reportedly ordered 100,000 Tesla EVs to add to its fleet, and though Musk has denied these reports over on Twitter, it’s only a matter of time before rental companies turn to electric vehicles given their ease of maintenance.

Elsewhere in the automotive world, Dodge has unveiled a “Holy Guacamole” Challenger concept over at the SEMA Show.
