Kawhi Leonard has recently announced the official release date of the first part of his rap project, Culture Jam Vol. 1. The album is a partnership between music industry powerhouse and executive producer, Eesean Bolden of Virgin Music Label.
In celebration of the launch, Leonard and Bolden have released a new song off the album titled “Bestie” featuring A Boogie and Capella Grey. The song comes with the accompanying video, a visual that continues the narrative of bridging hip hop with basketball. The music video follows a New York love story where Naya Rose, a college basketball player, explores a love triangle between her best friends, A Boogie and Capella Gray.
The Culture Jam Vol. 1 tracklist sees a slew of big-name collaborators including YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Rod Wave, Gunna, Polo G, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla $ign, Yung Blue, NLE Chopp, just to name a few. The first part features seven tracks and is set to debut on October 22. More celebrations are to be had for the release of Culture Jam with its inaugural Culture Jam Sports and Music Festival, set to occur at the Shrine in Los Angeles on November 21, 2021.
