VILLAZAN has partnered up with the art collective, League OTO on a unique sculpture by Evgen Čopi Gorišek. The Slovenian-born, Berlin-based artist depicts all sorts of characters from the throes of culture — boxers, basketball players, streetwear afficianaos — and paints them with his trademark smile. An act, that the artist believes is a mask that hides the inner turmoil of the given subject.
As the first sculptural project by Gorišek, the artist has depicted an Arnold Schwarzenegger-looking “MUSCLE MAN” that is inspired by one of his earlier paintings called The Secret to Success. The resin cast sculpture stands at 16.5 inches high and nearly 13 inches in width. “MUSCLE MAN” is an edition of 50 with nine artist proofs and comes in a screen-printed collectors box with a certificate of authenticity that is signed and numbered by the artist.
Fans were able to enter a worldwide raffle that ended late last night to purchase the $3,300 USD sculpture. Winners will be announced today, but a strict no-resale clause is in place for winning contestants for up to three years. The sculpture will also be available at select stockists following the results of the raffle.
