Young Thug Make His Solo Debut as a Musical Guest on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Young Thug Make His Solo Debut as a Musical Guest on ‘Saturday Night Live’

This past Friday, Young Thug finally dropped his highly-anticipated album PUNK to the public. The groundbreaking record has already been well-received amongst the music community for its impressive musicality and handsome batch of features such as Drake, Travis Scott, Doja Cat, Mac Miller and more, and the ATL-based rapper has celebrated its release by making his solo debut as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live.

On the iconic stage, Thug performed “Tick Tock” — his most recent single prior to the album release — as well as “Love You More” which is listed on the new record. For the performances, the rapper shared the stage with album collaborators Gunna and Nate Ruess along with Blink-182’s Travis Barker who went off on the drums and Jeff Bhasker who played the piano. Moreover, actor Rami Malek was called to host the evening.

As expected, the artist didn’t hold back on his stage presence as he switched outfits from a puffy fur coat à la Cam’ron but in hot pink to a cheetah-printed cardigan, and he had all of the members on stage also style themselves in bold red and pink ensembles.

Check out the performance here above, and note that PUNK is now available to listen to on all streaming platforms.
