November 15 marks the 20th anniversary of the very original Xbox, and in celebration of this milestone, Microsoft is now launching a special edition translucent controller for those on the Xbox Series X/S.
Based on the new controllers designed for its next-gen console, the upcoming release carries all the usual functions you’d expect from newer Xbox controllers, including the upgraded D-pad design and textured grips. A translucent cover takes over most of the front side as a nod to the original Xbox debug kits shipped out two decades ago, while the brand’s signature green tones return as welcome accents on the Xbox home button itself and the padding on the rear. Along with the new controller, Xbox will also release a stereo headset boasting a similar translucent design as well as green accenting by the earpieces and microphone.
For those interested, the translucent controller and stereo headset will release on November 15 at retailers, and pre-orders are now open over on Microsoft’s website as well. Both will go for $70 USD.
Elsewhere in gaming, Rockstar has officially confirmed Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition.
