The official first trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City has officially been released.
The next chapter of the franchise dives deeper into the origins of Resident Evil, following Claire Redfield, played by Kaya Scodelario and the cast of main characters as they wield combat-ready weapons to face off against an onslaught of zombies. The film is an adaptation of the original two Resident Evil video games and expands on the events of the giant pharmaceutical company, Umbrella Corporation, leaving the city to unleash a series of evil.
Johannes Roberts, the director of the film has confirmed that the project is not a remake and hopes that the film stands on its own. He describes the film as “an ensemble piece and Raccoon City plays a big part and is a character in the movie.”
