En Iwamura Has Released “PINECONE BOY: SUNSET”

Japanese artist, En Iwamura has worked with AllRightsReserved and Ross + Kramer Gallery on a new vinyl figure called “PINECONE BOY: SUNSET.”

The tri-color head continues off the artist’s exploration into MA — an ancient Japanese philosophy that accentuates negative space. “People constantly read and measure different Ma between themselves,” the artist said in a past statement. “Finding the proper or comfortable Ma between people or places can provide a specific relationship at a given moment,” Iwamura added.

Born in Kyoto, the artist typically works across watercolor and ceramic sculptures — two mediums that force patience upon the user and emphasize the beauty of unpredictability. As his first vinyl figurine, “PINECONE BOY: SUNSET” stands at 7.8 inches and has a printed signature from the artist on the bottom. The figurine retails for $350 USD and is avbailable to purchase via the gallery’s webshop and AllRightsReserved’s DDT store.

In case you missed it, Cleon Peterson released a new screen print entitled “INTO THE NIGHT MMXXI.”
