At its recent Tudum: A Netflix Global Fan Event, the streaming platform revealed an array of previews include the intro for its live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop.
Accompanied by the show’s classic “Tank!” opening theme, the intro is inspired by original anime series. Already staying true to the costumes and set design from Shinichiro Watanabe’s 1998 anime source material, the intro is a faithful recreation that captures the rhythm of the music from original main composer Yoko Kanno.
Starring John Cho as Spike Spiegel, Daniella Pineda as Faye Valentine, and Mustafa Shakir as Jet Black, the live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop was initially met with mixed feelings but with the latest previews, fans of the series have begun to change their thoughts about Netflix’s take on the beloved anime.
