TIME100 has officially unveiled its 100 Most Influential People of 2021.
The 18th annual selection is comprised of scientists and health care leaders, climate leaders, pop culture figures and athletes divided into several categories. The likes of Billie Eilish, Ben Crump and Sunisa Lee are named as this year’s pioneers, Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Naomi Osaka and Britney Spears are named icons, Simone Biles, Tom Brady and Tim Cook are named titans while Lil Nas X, Jason Sudeikis, Steven Yeun, Omar Sy and Daniel Kaluuya are named artists.
“I find reason for optimism… in our 18th annual TIME100 list of the world’s most influential people. It features extraordinary leaders from around the world working to build a better future, from entertainers striving to make Hollywood more inclusive to activists fighting for sustainability and human rights….They are disrupters, fixers, doers, iconoclasts, problem solvers—people who in a year of crisis have leaped into the fray,” TIME CEO and editor in chief Edward Felsenthal wrote.
