Drake Reflects on His “Certified Classics” With a Nostalgic Art Piece

Hot off the release of the highly talked-about album, Certified Lover Boy, Drake has taken to Instagram to share a piece of artwork to celebrate his albums over the years.

Zimbabwean artist HulioDraws has recently shared a nostalgic piece that features a mosaic of Drake’s album covers for Thank Me Later, Take Care, Nothing Was The Same, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, Views, More Life, Scorpion, Dark Lane Demo Tapes and Certified Lover Boy. The painting depicts the eight album covers placed on a mantle and underneath, fans can see eight different versions of Drake from each of his album eras. The highlight of the piece sees the Thank Me Later-era Drake shake hands with the current Certified Lover Boy-Drake, seemingly pinpointing how far the artist has come since then. HulioDraws captions the piece “Certified Classic” while Drake reposts the painting with a simple question that asks fans, “What’s Next?”

The Toronto hip-hop star gives fans and peers alike a chance to reflect on his discography over the past ten years, opening the debate of which of his classic albums transcends the test of time. Check out the art piece below.

Elsewhere in music, Nicki Minaj has called on Kehlani, Jhené Aiko and others to record vocals for her upcoming project.
