In a new album trailer, Baby Keem has announced that his upcoming record, The Melodic Blue, will release on September 10. Marking the artist’s debut studio effort, the soon-to-be-released album arrives via pgLang in partnership with Columbia.
The one-minute-long visual sees Keem alongside two women on the rainbow-colored dock of a tranquil lake, while a snippet of an unreleased track, featuring a sample of Serpentwithfeet‘s “Redemption,” plays in the backdrop. The album artwork, which the rapper shared to Twitter on Monday, draws from the same shoot and features Keem sitting on the aforementioned dock looking out onto the water.

The upcoming album will land as Keem’s first full-length project since 2019’s Die for My Bitch. Since then, the artist has shared independent singles including “no sense” earlier this year as well as “hooligan” and “sons & critics” in September 2020.
Last week, Keem took to Twitter to confirm that the album had officially been turned in, while also revealing that his previously released songs — “durag activity” with Travis Scott and “family ties” with Kendrick Lamar — will be included on the tracklist.
Elsewhere, the rapper recently landed on Kanye West‘s DONDA, alongside Scott on “Praise God.”
