Justin Bieber Breaks Spotify’s All-Time Streaming Record

Justin Bieber Breaks Spotify’s All-Time Streaming Record

Justin Bieber has made Spotify history after breaking the streaming platform’s all-time monthly listener record.

Chart Data on Saturday revealed that the pop polymath has amassed 83.3 million monthly listeners, the most any artist has ever earned since Spotify’s conception.

Trailing behind Bieber is The Weeknd with 74.53 million monthly listeners and Ed Sheeran, who has 72.41 million monthly listeners. Dua Lipa is currently the leading female artist on the platform, with 65.5 million monthly listeners, followed by Doja Cat, who boasts 60.84 million.

At 27 years old, Bieber last month became the youngest solo artist in history to obtain 100 career entries on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, beating out Drake who previously held the title after receiving his 100th entry at age 28.

In October, the chart-topper is slated to host a three-day Las Vegas experience, titled Justin Bieber & Friends, The Vegas Weekender, featuring headlining performances from artists including David Guetta, The Kid LAROI, Kehlani, Jaden Smith and the “Peaches” vocalist himself. The event will also include a skate park takeover featuring pro-skater Nyjah Huston, as well as pop-up shops with the singer’s favorite food and drink items.

Elsewhere in music, Kanye West is on track to break the record for most No. 1 albums this century.
