Watch Migos’ ‘Tiny Desk (Home) Concert’

Watch Migos’ ‘Tiny Desk (Home) Concert’

Migos took over the latest installment of NPR’s Tiny Desk (Home) Concert series on Wednesday.

Hot on the heels of Culture III‘s release, the chart-topping trio — comprised of Quavo, Offset and Takeoff — performed several of their latest tracks from the comfort of Gallery Dept.’s eclectic, art-filled living room.

Employing a full band, the group begins with the album’s opener, “Avalanche,” casually bouncing between their respective verses while seated next to a mannequin wearing an orange spacesuit. The Atlanta rappers then stand up from the couch to perform their fast-paced Culture III single, “Straightenin,” with fully charged energy.

At the song’s completion, Takeoff hands a lighter to Quavo, who finds the perfect transition into the group’s final track, “Birthday,” by lighting the candles on a golden birthday cake. “Tiny Desk, you rockin’ with the greatest group of all time,” Quavo sings in the closing segment of the final track.

Culture III debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart in June, raking 130,500 equivalent album units in its first week, behind Polo G‘s Hall of Fame, which earned a total of 143,000 equivalent album units. The Quality Control trio also released a deluxe edition of the album, adding five new songs to the 19-track record.
