Manny Pacquiao Loses to Yordenis Ugás By Unanimous Decision

Manny Pacquiao suffered his eighth loss on Saturday in his match against Cuba’s Yordenis Ugas. Judges scored the fight 115-113, 116-112, and 116-112 for a unanimous win for the Cuban boxer who took the fight with just 11 days’ notice after Errol Spence Jr.’s withdrawal.

Many boxing fans commented that Pacquiao’s age — he’s seven years Ugas’ senior at 42 — was showing as he appeared to be flat-footed and not as swift when compared to this last match from 2019 against Keith Thurman. This fight is Ugas’s first defense of his WBA (Super) welterweight title with a new record of 27-4 while the record of boxing’s only eight-division champion, Manny Pacquiao, now sits at 62-8.

Check out Pacquiao’s post-fight interview below, there was also a part where Manny’s long-time coach Freddie Roach admits that he felt that the living legend should consider retirement.
