Method Man is Dropping Unreleased Music in Comics-Inspired NFT Collection

Method Man will be releasing new music in the form of NFTs, Rolling Stone reported. As part of his forthcoming comics universe called Tical World, the Wu-Tang Clan rapper will be rolling out an anthology series online.

The first installment in the series is called “Part 1: The Origin” and, alongside the new music, will feature original characters, animations, artwork and apparel for sale as NFTs.

According to Rolling Stone, some of the NFTs available for purchase in the first drop will include unreleased music by Method Man, an original artwork by Alex Smetsky inspired by the Wu-Tang affiliates Killa Beez and signed by Method Man, the only copies of the first renderings of Tical World characters and a gold VIP card for Method Man’s line of athleisure, Tical Athletics.

The publication also said that Tical World offers the first “community owned crypto-characters” to use Flow Blockchain. The release date for the NFT collection has yet to be announced.

An avid comic fan, Method Man also hosts the weekly podcast Marvel/Method, where he talks about the Marvel universe and fandom. Past guests have included rappers DMC and Killer Mike, among others.

In other music news, Kanye’s YZY SND debuted ABSTRACT MINDSTATE’s comeback album Dreams Still Inspire.
