Don Jazzy, who is popularly known to be a producer and an Executive record label owner. His record label “Mavins” has been the best label this year so far. Artists like Rema (Bounce & Soundgasm), Ladipoe (Feeling), Johnny Drille (Bad Dancer), Ayra Starr (Away) and Crayon (Too Correct) are all having a solid year based on his management and production.
It is the longevity for me, really, because this is the third era of artists under his management.
SUGGESTED: Rema Is Creatively Damned: “Bounce”
The first era of the Don Jazzy‘s management was the Mo Hits crew where he managed artists like D’banj, Wande Coal, Dr Sid, D Prince and K Switch. The domination of the Mo Hits crew from the mid 2000s to early 2010s had already stamped his name in Nigeria’s music history.
Mo Hits still remains the most powerful era of any record label in Nigeria’s music history.
His second era of management was Mavins record label where he managed artists like Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Di’ja. These artists dropped several hits under his management including the group collaboration “Dorobucci” which basically ruled that year.
Mavin will be 10 next year.
The work that label has put in and their influence on Nigerian pop culture issa madness.
Only one label has done better and that’s Mo’hits

Across all three eras, an artist under Don Jazzy’s management has gone on to win The Headies Next Rated award. Wande Coal in 2008, Reekado Banks in 2015 and Rema in 2019.
SUGGESTED: Gen Z’s Biggest Star, Rema With ‘Another Banger’
This is the third era of his management and Don Jazzy’s influence hasn’t waned. It’s so impressive how he does it.
