‘The Last Video Store’ Lets You Relive Your Blockbuster Days in VR

Unfortunately for many of us who grew up in the ’90s, it’d be difficult to visit the only remaining Blockbuster left in the world, but luckily RareBird Games is now coming out with a PlayStation VR title that’ll let us relive those nostalgic visits.

Titled The Last Video Store, the studio behind Sinfield Remastered has rebuilt a Blockbuster store within virtual reality for you to explore, wandering through row after row of VHS tapes and DVDs. There’ll be a survival mode where players will have to work different jobs in order to make money to pay bills and fuel their own movie obsession, and you’ll also be able to drive around the neighborhood at night or even watch the films you’ve rented, although it’s unclear at this point how the licensing will work and whether the movies it included in the trailer like Evil Dead will really make it to the final release.

Other information regarding the game remains scarce at this point, so those interested should definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.

Elsewhere in gaming, EA has officially confirmed a Dead Space remake for next-gen consoles and PC.
