Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur according to the Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari.
The midfielder has a contract with the Italian outfit until the summer of 2022 and the two parties have not reached an agreement regarding a contract renewal.
Pellegrini has a release clause of around €30 million (£25.7m) and the newly appointed Tottenham director Fabio Paratici is an admirer of the player.

The Londoners could certainly use a goalscoring midfielder next season and the 25-year-old seems like the perfect fit for them.
Someone like Pellegrini could complete Nuno Espirito Santo’s midfield unit. He has the skill set to complement the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele.
The Roma star scored 11 goals and picked up nine assists across all competitions last season. Pellegrini is yet to reach his peak and he is likely to improve further with experience and coaching.
The 25-year-old central midfielder can operate in an advanced role as well and his versatility will be an added bonus for the Londoners.
Roma will have no option but to sell him if the London club can trigger his release clause and it remains to be seen where there the Premier League side are prepared to follow up on their interest with a concrete offer now.
Furthermore, the Italians will not want to lose Pellegrini on a free transfer next year. It makes sense for them to cash in on him this summer if an extension cannot be signed.
