This year’s Motor Valley Fest saw an abundance of events take place from July 1-July 4 in Modena, Italy — the birthplace of the world’s most famous automotive brands including Ferrari, Maserati, Lamborghini, Dallara, Pagani and Ducati. In partnership with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Italian Trade Agency and the Emilia-Romagna Region, the four-day festival celebrated Italian engineering as well as promoted the country’s top businesses.
To kick start Motor Valley Fest 2021, revered three-Michelin-star chef and brand ambassador of the House of the Trident, Massimo Bottura, revealed his latest creation through Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization program. Hailing from Modena, he was inspired by childhood memories of wandering into the countryside and finding vintage cars covered in mud. Revisiting these experiences, he unveiled the luxury Levante Trofeo SUV in “Street Blue” revamped with flashes of paint across its body — breathing new life into the car. The aesthetic is also transferred inside, with multicolored spots seen in the interior inserts, central tunnel as well as its dashboard.
As part of the automotive-focused events, Tomaso Trussardi, president of his eponymous fashion brand was selected as brand ambassador of the festival. To honor this appointment, he announced his latest project, ‘Restomod’, “The goal was to involve the supply chains of artisans and technicians that make up the Motor Valley,” he continued, “How? By building a car, or rather by re-building it.” With a passion for the automotive industry, Trussardi opted for the Maserati MV 3200 GTC, one of the last vintage models as his canvas. “It’s an application of today’s technologies and restyling in step with the times of cars of the recent past, while at the same time retaining its vintage charm.”
