Swizz Beatz To Honor DMX With Historic Tribute at HOT 97’s Summer Jam Festival

HOT 97 Summer Jam will return to its usual live format this summer, enlisting world-renowned producer Swizz Beatz to lead a historic tribute to the late hip-hop legend DMX.

The star-studded lineup also features DaBaby, Polo G, A Boogie, Migos, Meek Mill, Saweetie, MoneyBagg Yo, The Heavy Hitters Presents CJ and Friends featuring Farruko and El Alfa, DJ Megan Ryte and Friends, Saweetie, Rowdy Rebel and Bobby Shmurda, each of whom will take to the stadium stage to perform. A separate festival lineup, which includes Coi Leray, Yung Bleu, Morray and more, will perform on an outdoor stage.

“HOT 97 SUMMER JAM, is traditionally the official start of Summer but this year it’s the official return of Hip Hop,” said Ebro Darden, host of Ebro in the Morning, in a release. “We’re excited to present historic live performances for the culture and make iconic historic moments in hip hop.”

HOT 97 Summer Jam will take over the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on August 22.

COVID-19 safety protocols will remain a top priority for the event’s production team, who is currently working closely with the venue to ensure federal guidelines remain in effect, according to Bradford Tobin, President and Chief Executive Officer of MediaCo Holding Inc. (HOT 97 & WBLS).
