Gini Wijnaldum recently left to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
And Atletico Madrid ace Saul seems like the absolutely perfect summer addition for Liverpool this summer.
Liverpool leading Saul Niguez race
AS claims that the Reds are showing the most concrete interest in signing the Spain international.
The Merseyside outfit allegedly need to increase their €40 million (£34 million) offer for Saul in order to prise him away from the Spanish capital.
Mundo Deportivo claims that Atleti want around €50 million (£41 million) for the midfielder.
The Atletico ace is incredibly energetic, dynamic and has athleticism in abundance – three key attributes for any player who plays under Klopp.
Saul is a central midfielder by trade, but he can also operate on the left flank.
The Spaniard is technically brilliant but is also an absolute animal in midfield – something that has been ingrained in him having played for Diego Simeone for so long.
He is a midfielder who has ‘absolutely everything’ according to the Atleti boss.
