An official music video for a track off of Pop Smoke’s second posthumous album, Faith, has arrived on the same day of the LP’s release.
Out today, July 16, the visual for “Mr. Jones” featuring Future shares a montage of old clips of rapper partying at the iconic Mr. Jones club in Miami. Interspersed with footage of Future hanging out with different women that was taken in a separate shoot, the video shows the late rapper greeting friends and fans and vibing to music in front of a crowd.
Towards the end of the video, one sentimental longer cut follows a car driving down the highway at sunset while a woman wearing angel wings sits perched outside the car window.
A leaked version of Pop Smoke’s “Mr. Jones” was originally recorded in 2019 and resurfaced online in 2021, according to HipHopDX. The 2019 version didn’t feature Future, so he was presumably added after Smoke’s death. Future was also featured on the first posthumous album of the late rapper, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, on the single “Snitching.”
Other features on the newly-released Faith include Kanye West, Pusha T, Future, Kid Cudi, Pharrell, Dua Lipa, Quavo and more.
