PXG introduces the new Xtreme Dark finish as an option for the 0311 GEN4 irons. The new surface coating features a black diamond-like carbon finish, an implementation that yields a lustrous appearance.
This PXG Xtreme Dark finish was first initiated in the PXG irons GEN1 series, and later available in the GEN2 irons. The matte-black veneer for the latest PXG 0311 GEN4 irons was achieved by a three-layer ionization process, DLC (diamond-like carbon) is a dense, graphite-like, carbon-based coating that is applied to the external portion of the club head. The glaze has been utilized in an assortment of high-wear resistance technologies, including fuel injection systems, and is known for its resilience.
Lastly, the 0311 GEN4 Irons incorporate a hollow composition charged with proprietary XCOR material that reinforces outstanding movement of the face without any energy depletion, producing substantial forgiveness and distance during play.
The PXG Xtreme Dark finish retail for $380 USD per club and is available for purchase on the PXG official website.
