The Nigerian afrobeat trio of Burna Boy, Davido and Tiwa Savage have been enlisted into the star-studded squad of performers at the 2021 Global Citizen Live Concert.
The list also has Femi Kuti, eldest son of late Afrobeat pioneer and Legend, Fela Kuti.
The show will be held across 6 continents in 24 hours and the organizers has tagged it “Once-in-a-generation” broadcast.
It’s a live stream event is geared towards protecting the planet and defeating poverty according to organizers.
The Live Concert will be holding on the 25th of September in cities such as Lagos, New York, Rio De Janiero, Los Angeles, Seoul, Paris, Sydney, and London. Other locations will be revealed later as it covers 6 continents.
Some of the artists included in the lineup of stars are; Angelique Kidjo, H.E.R, Keith Urban, The Weeknd, Usher, Ed Sheeran, Ricky Martin and a host of other artists in the star-studded list.
