Dua Lipa Might Make an Appearance on Pop Smoke’s Second Posthumous Album

Dua Lipa Might Make an Appearance on Pop Smoke’s Second Posthumous Album

Dua Lipa teased a possible collaboration with Pop Smoke on Thursday, posting a video of the late rapper dancing to her song “One Kiss” to Instagram. “YOU CAN’T SAY POP WITHOUT SMOKE – 16 JULY,” Lipa wrote in the caption of the video.

Pop Smoke, whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson, died at the age of 20 after he was shot and killed during an invasion of his Los Angeles home in February 2020.

Lipa didn’t elaborate on what’s in store for the suggested July 16 release, but it happens to fall on the same day as the unveiling of Pop Smoke’s second posthumous album, self-titled Pop Smoke.

While the 17-song tracklist is being kept under wraps, the Brooklyn drill rapper gives fans a motivational speech in a 30-second preview of the album’s final single called “Outro.” Pop Smoke’s first posthumous debut studio album, Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon, was released July 2020, executive produced by 50 Cent.

In other music news, Halsey revealed the cover art for her upcoming album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.
