Olivia Rodrigo & BTS Hold Atop Global Charts, Maneskin Adds New Top 10

Olivia Rodrigo & BTS Hold Atop Global Charts, Maneskin Adds New Top 10

Billboard‘s two global charts (the latest of which are dated June 26) began last September and rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by MRC Data. The Billboard Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the U.S.

Chart rankings are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts’ calculations.

‘Good’ Still Best on Global 200

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” posts a third week at No. 1 on the Global 200, as the smash by the southern California native drew 99 million streams (down 10%) and sold 15,300 (down 13%) worldwide in the June 11-17 tracking week.

BTS’ “Butter” holds at No. 2 after two weeks atop the Billboard Global 200; The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s “Save Your Tears” rises 5-3 following its one-week reign; Bad Bunny’s “Yonaguni” ranks at No. 4, a week after it launched at No. 3; and Rauw Alejandro’s “Todo de Ti” dips 4-5 after reaching No. 3.

Hot ‘Butter’

“Butter” by South Korea’s BTS adds a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, with 77.2 million streams (down 27%) and 15,800 sold (down 57%) in territories outside the U.S. in the June 11-17 tracking week.

Olivia Rodrigo’s “Good 4 U” tallies a fourth week at its No. 2 high on the Global Excl. U.S. chart and Rauw Alejandro’s “Todo de Ti” keeps at its No. 3 best.

The Weeknd and Ariana Grande’s “Save Your Tears” rebounds 5-4 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, after reaching No. 2, and Bad Bunny’s “Yonaguni” slips to No. 5 a week after it opened at No. 4.

Elsewhere in the Global Excl. U.S. chart’s top 10, Måneskin ascends to the tier as “I Wanna Be Your Slave” jumps 18-10, up 18% to 29.6 million streams and 3% to 2,300 sold outside the U.S.

The group achieves its second Global Excl. U.S. top 10, after “Zitti E Buoni” also rose to No. 10, two weeks earlier. That song won the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest for Måneskin, making the Roman four-piece the competition’s first champion from Italy since 1990.

The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts (dated June 26) will update on Billboard.com Tuesday (June 22). For both charts, the top 100 titles are available to all readers on Billboard.com, while the complete 200-title rankings are visible on Billboard Pro, Billboard‘s subscription-based service.
