British alternative rock outfit Royal Blood make a splash with Typhoons (Warner), new at No. 5. It’s the followup to their sophomore album How Did We Get So Dark, which hit No. 4 back in June 2017.
DJ Khaled’s latest all-star album Khaled Khaled (Epic/Sony) gives the U.S.-based producer his fourth Top 10 in Australia. It opens at No. 7 on the ARIA Chart.
Meanwhile, Norwegian DIY artist Girl In Red (AWAL/Inertia) appears on the ARIA Charts for the very first time, as her debut LP If I Could Make It Go Quiet starts at No. 10.
Over on the ARIA Singles Chart, The Kid LAROI shows some youthful energy as “Without You” vaults 10-1 in its 22 week. It’s LAROI’s first No. 1 single. The lift follows a remix which features U.S. pop start Miley Cyrus. Previously, “Without You” had logged five weeks at No. 2.
Earlier this year, the Sydney singer and rapper made history by becoming the youngest solo Australian artist to lead the ARIA Albums Chart when F*ck Love (Savage) climbed to the summit.
The last time a homegrown single led the Australian chart was in January 2020, when Tones And I’s “Dance Monkey” completed its record-setting 24th week at the top.
Finally, Billie Eilish has a 12th Top 10 hit in Australia with “Your Power” (Interscope/Universal), which powers to No. 9 on the ARIA Chart. It’s lifted from the multiple Grammy Award-winning pop star’s sophomore album Happier Than Ever, due out July 30.
