Daniel Caesar, meanwhile, reaches No. 1 with his first appearance on Rhythmic Airplay. Giveon, too, achieves a first leader with a first showing. Since “Peaches” debuted on the list, though, he’s added a second song on the chart: His sleeper hit “Heartbreak Anniversary” scores its fifth week on the chart and pushes 23-19 on the new ranking.
As “Peaches” completes its journey to No. 1 in six weeks, it logs the fastest trip among Bieber’s five chart-toppers. “I’m the One” previously held the mark in his roster, needing seven weeks before its coronation.
With the Rhythmic dominion conquered, “Peaches” will likely next set its sights on top 40 radio. The collaboration darts 6-2 on the Pop Airplay chart, which measures the most-played tracks at mainstream top 40 stations. There, the song adds 20% more plays in the week ending May 2. Beyond that, the single has made notable impressions on the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, where it climbs 25-21 in its fifth week (up 22% in weekly plays) and on Adult Pop Airplay, scene of a 21-20 boost in its fourth frame.
Strong showings at both the rhythmic and pop fronts, combined with the reinforcement of R&B/hip-hop and adult pop, yield benefits on the overall Radio Songs chart, where “Peaches” gains 5-3. The single swells 21% to 61.5 million in audience to become the third most-heard track in the U.S., according to MRC Data. The double-digit percent gain is the largest week-over-week increase among the chart’s 50 songs.
“Peaches” appears on Bieber’s Justice album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 upon its release in March.
