On Saturday (April 17), Lizzo advised her TikTok followers “don’t drink and DM, kids” after revealing she did exactly that with Evans on Instagram, when she sent a series of emojis — wind, female athlete and a basketball — indicating she had apparently tried “shooting her shot” at exactly 5:22 p.m. She explained the situation by mouthing the voiceover audio, “The reason I’m upset about this one is because I know I’m not going to be able to marry him. And honestly, it hurts me to the core, because da–, papa, he a rare breed! No comparing!”
At the time, the two stars did not follow each other on the social media platform. But later on Sunday (April 18), the “Truth Hurts” singer sent a pleasant update that meant he must’ve watched her previous TikTok video.
