Also new to the albums survey this week is Black Honey’s Written and Directed (Foxfive), at No. 7. It’s the indie rockers’ first Top 10 appearance.
Veteran singer-songwriters Bob Dylan and Sting claim Top 20 berths on the latest U.K. chart. Dylan’s commemorative boxset 1970 (Sony Music CG) opens at No. 13, for his 64th Top 40 LP as a solo artist; while Sting debuts at No. 17 with Duets (Polydor/UMC) for the former The Police frontman’s 20th Top 40 album as a solo artist.
Meanwhile, Nathan Evans’ sea shanty “Wellerman” (Polydor) with 220 Kid and Billen Ted enters a second week atop the Official U.K. Singles Chart.
“Wellerman” holds a comfortable lead of 10,000 chart sales over its nearest competitor, A1 & J1’s “Latest Trends” (EMI), at No. 2. “Latest Trends” is the most-streamed song of the week.
Thanks to the release of his new album, Justin Bieber scores the highest new entry of the week with “Peaches” featuring Daniel Caesar and Giveon, at No. 3. Bieber sees two additional songs impact the Top 40, including “Hold On,” which lifts 31-10. The Canadian pop singer can now boast 26th Top 10 singles to his name.
