It’s fitting that after a weekend of snowy whether, Holly Willoughby wore a beautiful winter white outfit for week 2 of ITV’s Dancing On Ice. The stylish presenter’s two-piece bridal set was designed exclusively for the occasion by Halfpenny London, with Petal pearl earrings by Yoko London and shoes by Sophia Webster.
Halfpenny London’s founder Kate Halfpenny was overjoyed to see Willoughby modelling her designs for Dancing on Ice and took to Instagram to share insights into what went into the fabulous bespoke bridal creation. “Im over the moon that beautiful Holly Willoughby (@hollywilloughby) is wearing a bespoke Halfpenny London two-piece on #DancingOnIce tonight,” said Halfpenny.
“We love Holly’s style and the Halfpenny London mix of cool and romantic “coolmantic” is perfect for her. I added the softness of the handmade, silk organza flowers to the corset to make it extra dreamy and couture like. The bodice is made on a stretch base with layers of silk organza on top. The flowers on the cups and on the drape sleeves are actually made from the off-cuts we have left over from making the Riri skirt which she wore on the show the last time. We take all the extra off-cuts and send them to my mother who is an embroider and seamstress, and she hand cuts the petals and creates each individual flower. I love the idea that the flowers on Holly’s bodice have a history, they’ve completed a beautiful cycle. Working with Holly is a dream and I feel very humbled that we were trusted to create this beautiful outfit.”
