88rising Stuns With Immersive Art Experiences at Mercer Labs

88rising, in collaboration with Microsoft, took center stage at Mercer Labs in NYC with a transformative event that unveiled their innovative ‘1999 World’ microsite alongside the FAM concept, setting a new benchmark in the integration of music, technology, and artistry.

Guests at the event were able to interact with the 1999 World website on massive screens, experiencing firsthand how 88rising is changing the future of music creation, sharing, and interaction. The event not only highlighted 88rising’s role in pushing the boundaries of music and technology but also painted a vivid picture of how artistry can evolve and thrive in a digital landscape.

The event featured the debut of ‘1999 World’, an interactive microsite inspired by the iconic Windows 98 interface. This platform is designed to support the “1999 WRITE THE FUTURE” music collective, featuring collaborations with notable artists such as Westside Gunn, Offset, Rick Ross, Ghostface Killah, and BADBADNOTGOOD. The microsite combines the charm and nostalgia of the 90’s internet era with cutting-edge technology, offering users a unique digital journey through the past with a modern twist.

In addition to ‘1999 World’, the FAM concept was introduced through an array of interactive experiences. Dynamic light shows and 4D soundscape listening sessions provided a sensory feast, while interactive screens allowed guests to engage directly with digital art creation. Live music performances throughout the venue brought the concept to life, showcasing emerging talents and the future of music and art. The FAM concept, on the other hand, aims to redefine the future of Asian music by leveraging the latest technologies and creator tools. This initiative empowers artists at every stage of their creative process, enabling them to bring their visions to life and connect with audiences in innovative ways.
