Here are some of the high-end trends now in style, according to the brand’s latest show.
Expect to see lots of tops, blazers, and jackets with oversize shoulders and sleeves.
Jacquemus sent models like Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski down the runway in classic garments adorned with puffy sleeves.
The oversize pieces stood on their own in some outfits and complemented puffy waistbands in others, like the blazer-style dress Ratajkowski modeled.
The Jacquemus take on quiet-luxury fashion includes a lot of neutral monochrome.
Most models walked the Jacquemus runway wearing shades of black, white, and beige.
While their outfits ranged from classic workwear looks to going-out dresses, each managed to balance oversize fabric with structured elements.
One model, for example, sported an all-white suit that was perfectly baggy from top to bottom but also cinched just a bit at the waist.
Red is the ultimate pop of color for 2024.
Vibrant red shades have been having a moment in fashion since the fall of 2023 — and now the trend has made its way to the luxury world.
Jacquemus utilized the color — the only bright shade seen on the designer runway — across small leather purses, showstopping minidresses, and mixed-fabric menswear outfits.
Two millennial staples were present on the designer runway: crop tops and high-waisted bottoms.
Cropped blouses looked a bit fancier on the Jacquemus runway than the chopped T-shirts and tanks popular in the 2010s did.
Some models sported bralettes that wrapped around their chests, and others wore blazer coats that sat above their stomachs.
But Jacquemus’ high-waisted pants looked a lot like classic skinny jeans — sorry, Gen Z.
Gowns will be elegant — with a twist.
The impact of sculptures on Jacquemus was most obvious in the designs of his newest gowns.
Many were sleeveless with form-fitting bodices and skirts, but they were accented with standout pieces — like extra fabric below the knees —that gave the gowns structure and shape.
For the rest of winter, you’ll probably see a plethora of structured coats.
Rather than dressing models in standard trenches and peacoats, Jacquemus gave the traditional jacket styles a revamp.
The beige coat Hadid modeled, for example, was especially strong and showcased the quiet-luxury aesthetic.
Its neutral color is perfect for everyday wear, and its wide sleeves and corset-shaped bodice give it a luxurious edge.
For shoes, Jacquemus has made the case for thong sandals.
But interestingly, the designer opted to showcase the shoes worn for colder weather. One model donned black leather thong sandals with red socks, and another sported leather boots with thong-style toes.
The style is controversial, but it might just become trendy thanks to this runway show.
Sparse feathers have replaced fuzzy frocks.
For an extended period over the past few years, celebrities, brides, and wealthy fashion fans couldn’t get enough of tops and dresses covered entirely in feathers.
But according to Jacquemus, the new version of that look features classic pieces like summer dresses and button-up shirts decorated with sparse, frilly feathers.
