5 Bank Holiday–Ready Outfits We Want to Wear Now That Summer Is Here

Good news, everyone! It looks like this bank holiday is finally going to usher in the start of summer. I mean, it’s about time, too. In true British style, it’s going to hover around 19ºC or 20ºC, which means it’ll be pretty warm in the sunshine but cooler in the evenings. That’s tricky outfit-wise but not impossible. The key is to be savvy with your layers and smart with accessories, something we happen to be very adept at. Also, it always helps that all our favourite influencers have been wearing chic yet versatile get-ups over the last few weeks, so the inspiration is not in short supply.

My number one bank holiday–ready look has to be Nicole Ocran’s fabulous printed co-ord, which is not only super easy to style but also light enough for this in-between weather. There’s also Chloe Butler’s yellow-flares-and-knit-vest pairing, which is really speaking my language with its throwback vibe and subtle layering. (A knit vest over a white tee is a great idea for the British summer.) Of course, there’s plenty of classic summer-dress action via Imani Randolph and Megan Adelaide Vega—there’s something for everyone.

So if you’re looking for a little sartorial inspiration for the coming bank holiday, scroll down to see the five outfits inspiring us right now.
